Is your kitchen in desperate need of an update? You know it’s time for a remodel, but perhaps the sticker shock of how much a remodel can cost has you a little hesitant. We see this a lot; folks have decided to tackle a remodel and are looking for an area they can cut costs. Often times this is with the countertops. After all, laminate is fine. Right? Well, the problem is that for the money you may be saving by opting for low end countertops, you are actually just borrowing from yourself long term. Not only do laminate countertops not last like stone countertops, they are much more prone to scratching staining and cutting damage. In the long term, granite, quartz or marble will be much better for your budget because they last a long time and you won’t have to spend money again installing new countertops years later.
Not only are stone countertops stronger, more durable and more appealing, they are also a lot more forgiving of kitchen accidents than laminate. Not to mention, if you ever plan on selling your home, stone countertops are a huge selling point for potential buyers! To save money on your kitchen remodel the RIGHT way we suggest – Keeping The Same Layout Moving the sink, electrical outlets and switches to other locations will certainty drive up your costs. Consider keeping your same kitchen layout. The C and C Stoneworks team will custom fabricate your countertops, so no need to worry about fitting them perfectly in your existing space! Repaint, Don’t Replace Cabinets Instead of gutting your kitchen cabinetry, just give it a facelift with a fresh coat of paint and new hardware. If your cabinets are in good condition, a simple resurfacing will bring new life to your kitchen, without breaking the bank. Consider Open Shelving If part of your kitchen remodel needs to include adding more storage, consider open shelving! It creates interest in your space and saves money. Not to mention, it is very trendy and a great way to display your favorite dishes! Are you ready to tackle your kitchen remodel? Contact C and C Stoneworks today! We’ll help you pick out the perfect countertop for your space that will look beautiful, increase your home’s value and stand the test of time!

I like how you said to keep the same layout. That'll make it a lot more simple. All I really want is to change the color and quality of the materials anyway.

I like how you mention that you can change the look of your kitchen without having to fully change the entire layout of the kitchen. My husband and I have been wanting to change some things to make more room for our family in our home. I think we should look for a good kitchen remodeling service that can help us change the aesthetic of our space but keep things within our budget.

I'm planning to have my kitchen remodeled and changed its design into something more modern, but I lack the funds for it. I guess you're right; it'll be best to repaint my cabinets if there still in good condition rather than replacing them with new ones. It's best if I'll hire a kitchen remodeling contractor as well, maybe they'll be able to guide me in purchasing cheaper materials.

We are looking to give our kitchen a facelift right before we put it on the market to sell. As you mentioned, it may be a good idea to have the cabinets repainted as opposed to replacing them. I will have to mention this to the contractor to see if this is an option, and how much money it could save us in the long run.

Thanks for helping me learn more about kitchen remodeling. I love how you mentioned that in doing a kitchen makeover, it's better to repaint cabinets instead. My uncle is looking for a way to transform the appearance of his kitchen and I believe a remodel has not crossed his mind yet. I'll share this with him so he'd consider it, and recommend that he look for an expert who can help realize his ideas into reality.

My mother would like to remodel her kitchen and make it more vibrant, which is why she's looking for a home electrical service that will be able to replace the old lights with new ones. Well, I also agree with you that it would be practical to repaint the cabinets because installing a new one will be too expensive. Thank you for clarifying here that adding more shelving will be beneficial as well.

I like your idea to give your kitchen a facelift instead of gutting it all out. I'd love to change the look of my kitchen. There is plenty of space now so I guess just painting it a different color wouldn't be bad.
